A Brush With Burlesque, in progress

Managed to get two pieces on the go for the exhibition today. Not overly happy with either at the minute to be honest, and the white pencil I was using is knackered so I need to get another asap.

Coconut Shy

Worked on a few more photographs to sell as prints this eve. I think this is my favourite from today...

The colours combined with the moon and all the lights just seem to give it a magical ethereal mystical quality which wasn't particularly intended, but I really like how it's turned out.

It's available as a print along with the rest on my art page should anyone be interested :)

A Brush With Burlesque

So my first ever gallery exhibition is coming up fast! A Brush With Burlesque, a group show with 8 other artists who capture the UK burlesque scene. So excited, just booked accommodation in London on the night of the private view.  If you can make it down there (or even live in the London area) do try check it out at some point :)

A couple of sketches...

This is a prelimonary sketch/play around with something I'll be working on in collaboration with photographer Andy Hollingworth for a comedian named Chris Stokes.
At some point in the near future I'll be creating artwork/a poster illustration from a photograph taken by Andy for Chris to use to advertise his Edinburgh Fringe shows....

The napkin I happened to choose (from Zizzi) happened to have a rather apt quote on it
