New Tote Bags and T-Shirts!

Here we have the mock ups and prices of the new burlesque girlie tote bags and t-shirts.
Although I've used a plain crew neck t-shirt for the sample image, v necks are also available, along with vests and long sleeve tops should that be something you prefer :)
I'm also potentially going to add some rhinestone detailing to the designs by hand, but th
at's not a definite yet, I'll probably do it on one and see how it looks. If I do decide to do some hand-detailing though the price will still be the same.
These are made to order, and I am hoping to get the first bunch ordered this week! So, if you are interested, please drop me a message on Facebook with what you would like (or send me an e-mail) =)
First class and second class post options will be available within the UK, and I'm happy to ship worldwide!

The Den of Iniquity

I've recently been working on a commission from a performer I've done work for before, Foxie La Roque, who is putting on a new burlesque show in Nottingham with fellow performer Loretta Lace.
Here's the artwork I've done for them, it still needs a bit of tidying up but it's pretty much finished...

Minimalist Movie Posters

I'm a big fan of those alternative movie posters you see created by fans, some are called minimalist movie posters, and after looking at a bunch last night, I felt inspired to attempt one myself. There are 3 variations of it... not bad for my first attempt at something...

And here are some wonderful examples by a guy I discovered last night, William Henry...

Call out for people interested in having a photo shoot...

In follow up to my previous blog post entitled 'New Camera Fund', I wanted to add the following.
As you may know, I'm wanting to do more photography professionally, preferably weddings and couple shoots, but I'd like to get some more images for my portfolio.

I'm doing a couple of 'couple' shoots with some girl friends with their bfs over the next couple of months, and have said I can do them for £50 plus my travel costs to wherever they fancy having the shoot. So, if you want to take me up on this offer (which I'm going to run for a limited time only and I'll only be able to do a few shoots at this price) get in touch! Perhaps you or someone you know has recently become engaged and want to do an engagement shoot? Or perhaps you want some pictures with your special someone to mark an anniversary?

I'm also keen to do more weddings. I tagged along with the hired photographer at a wedding a few months back to give it a go myself and get some of my own shots and really enjoyed it. After putting the pics online I was contacted by two separate girls getting married next year so I now have 2 weddings to shoot in the summer! :D But as I'm only just starting out with weddings specifically, I'm charging a lot less than pros are, so if you know, or hear of, any brides on a budget who may be interested do point them my way :) I've set up a little site with some shots on here -

But here's a reminder of some of my shots from the wedding...

Michael Fassbender...again

Inspired by the wonderful artist behind the Helena Bonham Carter print that I won a few weeks back, I wanted to attempt a realistic portrait with my graphics tablet. The subject, Michael Fassbender.

I'm really pleased with how it's gone for my first attempt at such a thing! It's still not finished, but here it is as it stands after several hours work.

The mouth isn't quite right, and his clothes obviously still need work.

Running low on some of my Christmas Cards in certain designs, so if you want some try get in touch sooner rather than later to make sure you get the ones you want :)

New Camera Fund...

Me earlier this year with my trusty (but old) Nikon

So I think I'm gonna invest in a full frame/pro DSLR.

Today I've been researching a few I had my eye on. The Canon EOS 5D Mark ii was high on my list going on the fact that some wonderful photographers I know use it, but I currently have a Nikon, so I guess it makes more sense to get another Nikon so I can continue to use the same lenses. And a friend pointed me in the direction of a Nikon model that could certainly compete with that Canon one, so that's now my wish-list-item :) As it's fairly newly on the market, I'm going to hold on for a bit and hope it comes down in price fairly soon, but I know it's gonna cost me over £1,000 if I do go for it. So, this morning I came up with somewhat of a plan to a) raise some money towards the buying of the new camera, and b) get some more experience in professional photography, and approached some friends with the idea of doing engagement shoots or just simply couple shoots and I'm hoping to do a couple for Christmas.
I've spent a fair bit of time in awe at pretty pictures on pinterest from engagement shoot, and amazing wedding shots on 'rock n roll bride', and it's really given me the inspiration to get out there and do some myself.

Some images I like...

If you're at all interested in having a shoot with me, and helping me raise some pennies, do get in touch!

P.S I should add, you don't have to be a couple, maybe you simply have an idea for a shoot and need some portraits of yourself for promo use or even for a gift for someone.  Drop me a message =)

Holidays are coming! Holidays are coming!

So I've been working on some new Christmas Card designs :) Want to have a sneak peek?

That last one is still a work in progress/unfinished. You may recognise the last one, it's a revamped version of one of my designs from last year!

Pretty in Pink

Hi everyone

Here's a peek at the latest print available from my website...

Head on over to to get yours!

I went down to London to see the Frankenweenie exhibition at the Southbank centre this week, it was great to see the models in person!

Looking bedraggled at Tim Burton's desk. It was a very rainy day!

As some of you may already know I'm doing a collaboration with GG's Pin Up Couture, here are some pictures of the first two finished pieces....

And a peek at some artwork that will feature on pieces coming soon!

And finally, lots of items are up on ebay, do check them out :)

Until next time...

Wednesday, 26 September 2012

It's been a quiet month...

September hasn't been amazing.
As a result I've felt pretty uninspired and unmotivated.
Though I did at least win a wonderful print from a fellow artist, he's incredibly talented, and isn't it a beautiful print?

Amusingly, I felt even better about winning when I found out a rather horrid person also entered and was incredibly bitter when they found out I won.  Can't help but smile when you find out you make horrors jealous really can you? Even more amusing, said person apparently afterwards posted online that she'd lost to her 'rival'(!). This is someone who is on no level a rival, bless her.  But not a nice piece of work at all, unlike my beautiful print :D
I've always said it, karma clearly does exist!

Worked on a little thing that I did for free for a local musician

and today I created this

Some August updates....

So it's been a little quieter than I like it to be the past couple of months. I guess it's that time of year when people are spending their money on summer holidays, and not browsing the internet as much as the weather's so nice...also of course, the Olympics. But, in the past week I've had a few more commissions :) A burlesque gal wants me to create an illustration of her for her website, and another local burlesquer friend wants me to design a burlesque-pin-up girl for her to get tattooed on her shoulder. So here are some sketches for each for them that I thought I'd share...

New Tote Bag Design - Stockings and Heels

Inspired by my burlesque cup and saucer set from the 'Hello Sailor!' range, I introduce the new 'stockings and heels' tote.
